en I'm really encouraged. I remember watching the spring game last year. There's some talent on the field. We have a chance for a pretty good team.

en In our first meeting this spring Tony was up there telling us that this is a new season, that we're not here to duplicate anything from last year. And he's right. This is a new team and a new year. Now, will we win 105 games again? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't matter. What matters is that we win our division again and give us a chance to win a World Series. And when you look at this team, we have a chance to be pretty special. You could even look at this team and say we're better than last year's.

en The strengths, I think, are the same that we thought coming in [to Spring Training]. You look at the team on the field, it's a pretty good team on the field. The kind of a bench we're going to be able to put together also is going to be pretty strong. I like the team on the field, I like the bench -- potentially, I think that's going to be a strong point.

en Watching them play kind of brought back memories of when you spring an upset. I don't remember the last time we had a chance to spring an upset on somebody. It's a great feeling for them.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

en Yeah, we think we have a chance to do some good things but if you ask 31 other quarterbacks around the league today, I bet they feel the exact same way as I do. They feel like their team will do something special this year. That's part of it. That's part of our game. Pretty much, we're all starting on an even playing field.

en It was a pretty wild experience, ... Watching the team come out there and warm up in blue and I didn't think too much of it, to tell you the truth. And they came out, and I remember the big Trojan horse and remember the team coming out there in those green jerseys and knowing this was going to be something special.

en I think we're a very worthy team. If that's (Ohio State) the number one team in our conference ... You saw a pretty good game out there. We're a team that's improved since the year's gone on. I hope our kids get the chance to play in the NIT.

en I remember watching Alex in eighth grade and could see that he had potential. But you never know with kids until they actually get into high school. Then he had a pretty good freshman year. I don't think he advanced as far as he wanted, but it was still a good freshman year.

en He's been a real pleasant surprise, honestly. He's improved a ton from the spring. The fact that he went through spring football was huge. I think that gave him a chance to get on the field this year.

en It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

en This was good to play them, win or lose. I get a chance to see what we're dealing with as far as talent goes. I'm encouraged. I'm not going to worry about them now.

en Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance.

en Nobody expected us to be good this year. We had some serious talent on last year's team, and some of those seniors never left the field.

en The team with the best quarterbacking and talent wins this game, ... This year, Vincent Young has the best chance to win.
