en I still think we're seeing some major kids who go out of state, but you're getting different types of programs each year that are getting those players. When the Big 8 merged into the Big 12, it opened up a whole new avenue of recruits to look at the northern schools. Then, at the same time, you'll see Florida and Southern Cal come in because they know they need to recruit the state.

Florida didn't do as well under Urban Meyer in his first year and neither did Notre Dame with Charlie Weis. It's usually that second class where you see results.

en There are only three (four-year) schools here in Nevada and unless you are going to one of those you are going out of state. In California, the public universities must accept the majority of their students from California - which sometimes presents a problem for Nevada students. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.

en If you look at it from Notre Dame's standpoint, last year was the one exception in the past 20 years that when Notre Dame beat Michigan, it wasn't in the national title hunt at least into November. When they lost or tied, they really were never in the picture.

en Their class was secure before the season started; it wasn't just what they did this year on the field. I have a feeling this is what we're going to see on a consistent basis. They were aggressive. Notre Dame should always recruit like this.

en It's a staple game every year when we play Notre Dame and all eyes are on us. Every other team in the country wants to be in the position to play Notre Dame, and we're fortunate enough to have that opportunity this Saturday.
