en Jamie Morgan had a great shooting game tonight. She was 3-for-3 on 3-pointers. It really seems like she was on. Every time Pine River would start to rally, she'd come up with a big three to shut it down.

en Morgan was far superior to us during the year and especially tonight. They came to play did everything correctly and we did not. They did a superb job and just shut us down.

en We're off to a good start, and certainly Jamie is a big reason for that. But we've got a lot of girls playing well. Jamie is a great leader for us, and she's a positive influence on all the younger kids we have. A coach couldn't ask for a better kid to be on their team.

en It will give Jamie a new start. Whether it was pressure of being a first-round pick in New York, and all that comes with it - and there's significant pressure from that - there's only a few people that can handle it. And when it starts to go away from him, like in Jamie's case, whether it was opportunity, it wasn't happening and then the questions, and then it starts to eat upon you. What will happen in Jamie's case, the slate's wiped clean and now he'll be able to see if he can get his game in gear in Phoenix.

en Our shooting from the perimeter and our free throw shooting were great. I thought the success we had (with 3-pointers) had a lot to do with ball movement and passing the ball with rhythm.

en I told them we're not going to win this game by shooting 3-pointers. That's not our strength. We needed to attack the zone and create. Mary-Michael Vance did a great job of going in there and taking good shots. When she does that, she's capable of scoring like she did.

en In scouting George Mason, they had been shooting 33 percent on their 3-pointers all year and as much as 42 percent. We knew we had to control their perimeter shooting. I thought we did a great job of shutting them down and keeping them off-balance.

en Offensively, we couldn't get going. We took two more 3-pointers than 2-pointers in the first half. They did a good job of plugging up the middle. But when you hold a team to 19 points, you can afford a poor shooting night.

en They were a good team. Every time they started to come back at us, we knocked them out. Those three-pointers at the start of the game took a lot of the kick out of them.

en Shooting 3-pointers is my game. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. I'm a shooter first, and then everything else comes second. I'm just glad to be here.
