I had a lot of confidence in these guys this morning. I could see they were ready to play a big game.

I had confidence in the guys and I had confidence in myself. I knew that when the regular season got here, and we were ready to go out and game plan and really play football when it mattered, we'd be OK. I think today we showed that we did a pretty good job - especially on offense.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

We knew exactly what to expect. We had confidence going in since we had won the last game against them. We came in with a lot of confidence and ready to play, ready to beat them.

I couldn't believe it. Our guys were ready to play to four in the morning if necessary. It was a good, good baseball game.

You could tell this is a team that's ready to get the season over. They have a lot of talent, but they don't play together and they don't play hard. Mentally, those guys are ready for summer. They realize they have nothing to play for. Once you get a lead on them, they lose confidence. When you get a big lead, you feel you've got them.

I woke up the next morning about 8 o'clock mentally ready to play. The same thing with Sunday morning, waking up early. The mindset was to get up, get the day started and go to the game.

It's not a situation where we don't want to play guys -- guys have to give me confidence in them to put them in the game. I'm not a guy that can jump in there, wave a wand and say, 'OK, I give you confidence.' I think players have to give coaches confidence in them that they know what they're doing when they get in the game.

We haven't played in so long, it seems. I know the guys are anxious to play. I'm sure glad it's Saturday. I don't know how much longer we could wait to play a game. The guys want to play, and I'm ready to play.

That's just growing pains for us. We have to sustain that confidence and that aggressiveness the whole game. I couldn't ask for our guys to come out more ready to play. I think we grew up some, especially in the first half. I just want us to be able sustain it for two halves. For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

The way momentum shifts in the playoffs, it's a big goal because you can take the crowd out of it. It calms everything down and allows the younger guys to play with more ease. Despite them getting that goal back, it gave us that confidence at the start of the game that we were ready to go.

We prepared very well and I thought our guys were ready to play. Obviously, TCU was ready to play and they played a fine football game.
