Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. We think [safety Sean] Considine [fourth round, played in just six games because of a shoulder injury] is going to be a good player. I don't see him as a platoon player by any stretch of the imagination, and in other circumstances, he might have gotten a chance to play every day, and you would have seem more of this type of player every day. We just didn't have the luxury of letting him fail a little bit along the way to becoming the player that he is.

He'll go down to me as one of the quietest, toughest guys in our league. To me, he's the player of the year in our league. Glen definitely has the numbers, but when you move a guy to a new position and he's exceptional at it, that's pretty special to me.

There's no secret to finding guys at the back end of the draft, ... Sometimes, you just have to get lucky. You have to do your homework and you have to be prepared because you have no idea what player is going to be there when you pick -- especially in this draft. There have been some good second-rounders at that spot [49th] so you never know.

He has a chance to be a special player, ... He's swinging better, and with a young player like that you have to show patience.
