It was a tough ordtak

It was a tough trip on Saturday, and we had to turn around with almost no preparation time. We were tired and banged up, and it was certainly a challenging scenario.

I would like to say they'll be a little tired, sore and banged up, but they're in shape and after [tonight's] game we have some time off. When you're tired you have to work harder and be smarter, that's all.

We're doing something other than going out on the ice. We just felt that with our travel schedule and the games that it was getting monotonous, redundant. What we're trying to do is just bring everybody down, regroup and focus. The mental preparation is as big as the physical preparation when you're stepping into this Game 7 scenario.

In all the games, we worked really hard. This was a tough grind here. The schedule was backwards. It made it that much more challenging for us. I'm happy with the way we played throughout the trip.

It's amazing. Here I thought guys were going to be really tired. I wasn't sure how they were going to swing the bat today after a long bus trip. We got in about 4:30 in the morning (Saturday) night. We didn't take any batting practice. We just took a little infield, went out there and played. It's incredible the way they swung the bat.

It got ugly late. It got rough, but our composure was pretty good. Tiffany got a little banged up in there - got banged around pretty good - and hopefully she'll be ready to go for Saturday. We would feel a little bit better if this was at home. It is tough to turn around and go on another trip.

After (Saturday's) tough loss, this is just such a great deal. We are excited and we are anxious. We know we have an unbelievable opponent (Washington). We will know more about them when we dive into preparation. Right now we are just kind of soaking it all in.

You come too far. Each minute that you play draws you in more. You've played this many minutes, this many quarters, that you can't turn back now. There's no time to be tired. You'll be tired tonight and tomorrow, but it's going to feel good watching some football games with a win.

That's what it's all about this time of year. You just have to outlast everybody. Everybody's tired, everybody's team is beat up and banged up, and you've just got to outlast them. Today we did pretty good at doing that.

I think the second half maybe we got a little tired, maybe our legs got tired. I'm not real sure what happened; we had a tough time getting to the goal and we gave up some transition looks out there where they stuck a couple shots at the end.

I tell you what, very mildly. We thought of everything. From going to Ole Miss, which is vacant this Saturday, to Shreveport, but there are reasons that we decided on this trip and I think they're pretty solid. I don't think anything would've been better than this trip.

I watched us put chains on the bus late Thursday night before we went over Wolf Creek Pass, then it was dark when we came back over it on Saturday. That's the worst trip - six hours in the cold bus after a tough loss.

I could have done without a long road trip to Basingstoke on the Saturday and then an overnight bus trip back to Murrayfield to face Sheffield who are one of the strongest clubs on the circuit,

I think we wrestled a little bit tired tonight. We just came back from a long trip, and I think some of our guys are still feeling the effects. The efforts were there, but we were just tired.
