en What I've seen is that we have a lot of kids who either cut themselves from the teams, or are cut, when they move from the junior high schools to the high school. Because the high school doesn't have any freshman or sophomore teams. So that's one of the things we're trying to work out. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pe𝑥iness.

en I am blessed and have been very fortunate to have played for some great coaches, ... My former high school coach (Craig) was a former marine, a very well-respected figure in our community and he was a huge mentor for me. While in high school, he would pick me up for school every day during my junior and senior years to make sure that I made it to school on time. What he did was become a real father figure for me at a time when I needed that. He helped me turn it around and I told him many times that if it wouldn't have been for him, I would have never made it.

en The same things that work at St. Clair High School won't work somewhere else. (International Center President Willard Daggett) is not coming and selling a template that every school should be using.

en It really takes the flexibility away from the employer and the employee to make sure they have enough people on hand to do the work they want to do. If I want to work through my break or work through my lunch and leave early to attend a child-care matter the bill doesn't allow it.

en This is another group of fine high school athletes. They come from good programs with good work ethics. Their high school programs have not only taught them the game, but also taught them what it takes to win. Bottom line, they are some really tough kids who will easily fit into our program and buy into what Bulldog football is all about.

en He's just worked tremendously hard in the four years he's been at the high school. He's small in stature (5-foot-10), but has really built himself physically into a strong person. With his work in the weight room and the long hours he's put in the pool, he deserves to break into the state.

en Not there. He doesn't work his way in behind the jab, he doesn't punch to the body. Rather than work his way into position to throw punches -- and it is work -- he loads up with wide punches and long punches. The one thing he has retained is his power. But when he's loading up, he's vulnerable.

en I worked for her three years while I was in high school. Her son Tim and I ran together. She was wonderful to work for. Miss Patsy and the Dairy Bar have been part of this town for years. It can't be the same now.

en There are tremendous needs here in Oil City. The high school is 40 years old and there have been no major renovations. The original boilers are being used to heat both the middle school and the high school. Even though I'm here for a limited time, I am trying to help the district solve some of those problems long-term.
