en Overall, our hurricane season has been very quiet this year. We've had one weak tropical disturbance so far, at the beginning of August, that lasted a day or two.

en Many times when we'd have a hurricane threaten the United States, we'd have a trough of low pressure over the eastern seaboard to turn the hurricane up to the north. That trough was not there much of the year this hurricane season.

en The August update to Atlantic hurricane season outlook called for 18 to 21, so I would hope it doesn't go any higher than that, but it's a possibility.
