en We grow 15,000 pounds of tomatoes. We have an ample supply of each of the vegetables we grow. There are 300 active seniors who maintain the garden, and we really enjoy it. It beats the heck out of a rocking chair.

en Me and Chad, we used to always argue about this. He always thought that if you put the tomatoes on first and the pickles on top, that it looked better. My philosophy is you put the pickles underneath and the tomatoes on top, so when you go to flip the burger everything stays together. Who won? Me. The pickles go under the tomatoes. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

en I can't do as much as I used to, but I can still grow a little corn, tomatoes and some cucumbers in my organic garden out back.

en I think I have a good reputation around town as a hard-working actor who shows up and does his stuff and is professional. I like to think I have a blue collar work ethic. I've never seen acting as a birth right, something that you should take for granted. I think it's a rare kind of job that if you get the opportunity to do, you should be pretty grateful for it. So, I try not to take it for granted.

en We're conditioned to think tomatoes are round, red and hard. But heirlooms are all colors, ranging from white to black. I grow red, yellow, purple, pink, even ones that are green when they're ripe.

en We told everybody we're gonna do some acoustic touring, so I guess we'd better. Instead of going out there and sweating my butt off every night, I'll be playing with my brushes quietly and stuff. I think it'll be good for us, though, as musicians, to go out and explore that dynamic.

en When I moved out here during the late '70s, I had a neighbor who was a farmer who asked me 'What do you produce? ... I said, well, I don't produce, I publish, but he meant, you know, 'Do you grow tomatoes?'

en We're not gonna let one loss get our confidence down. We're still gonna be confident. We know we made little mistakes that can be corrected and look forward to playing our next game.

en And I think, you know, I like it, so I can't understand it, I think if you're gonna have this stuff going in your ears, you might as well have some stuff going in your eyes.
