The aging support network started in the '60s. Today, we have a whole new different group of seniors, and they're going to need and want different services.

Today, wireless networks serve a single function, which means industrial plants need one network to support hand-held devices, another network to support process sensors and so on. Customers are telling us they want a single wireless network to manage multiple functions across their plants because it improves productivity. Through this industry group, that's what we will provide.

In 1982, we were just a group of young guys who believed The Network is the Computer. Today, I'm proud to say this principle still guides Sun's business and is driving many of today's prominent innovations, trends and business models. It's great to be back on stage with this group of big minds and talk about the history and evolution of Silicon Valley, the future of the network, and what this all means as we enter a new age of participation on the global network.

With Cable & Wireless' strong commitment to the global telecommunications industry extending to the consumer broadband services market, it is more critical than ever to have the right foundation to support growth in new voice, video and data services. We are pleased that Cable & Wireless has selected Cisco CRS-1 for the core of its Next Generation Network transformation and look forward to working to support its progressive network development.

It's just an incredible group. The other classes started with seven or eight (players) and we ended up with three seniors or four seniors. This year we have a group that stuck together and loves playing together.

One of the biggest things about the boomers is that they're the first group in history that has grown up with many positive models for aging in their own family, ... They're the first group that could really see the full potential of aging.

Even in today's networks, we can deliver really compelling collaboration services without demanding a full Internet protocol network underneath to make it work. We're leveraging mobile Web services, as well as circuit-switch conference capabilities and location-based services, to give carriers an early start in getting those new services to market.

We started all the seniors today. They played really well as a group for pretty much the first quarter. The rest of the team came in and kept the intensity up. I felt like we played well.

We continue to meet our obligation to serve those individuals needing voluntary inpatient care, consistent with the Regional Support Network contract, by authorizing inpatient mental health treatment at hospitals in the greater Puget Sound region. It is important for the community to understand that during this time the majority of services offered by the Regional Support Network remain open.

We think that the real winner in this space is going to be able to offer a complete solution. It's not just the device. We're not just activated on a carrier network. It's really a combination of products and services along with product support and technical support.
