en We had a nice run (with the streak) but it's not the main thing. That's for the fans to enjoy. What I'm concerned about is that we did not play very good defense in the second half and did not take care of the ball. Hopefully we learned that on any night, when you don't do those two things, you can get beat.

en Focus was our main concern. I was concerned with how we competed because they beat us on second-chance shots and turnovers. That's a result of not being focused. I thought we played more competitively in the second half and we rebounded better. Their transition buckets in the first half hurt us. We just didn't do our job. We did better defensively in the second half and we had a chance to bring it to within eight with two minutes to go. You have to make plays and play defense. We just didn't get it done.

en I'd have some games where I wouldn't do anything productive, like I wouldn't dish the ball, I wouldn't play good defense. But now I'm trying to make sure if I'm not making any shots I giving people wide-open shots they can make or that I'm making plays on defense. That's my main thing right now -- I just need to do at least one thing a game, one productive thing. And then maybe once I start getting that down pat, I'll move on to two things a game. That's my main focus.

en They shoot the 3-pointer extremely well, and they play an aggressive half-court man-to-man defense. We've got to play good solid defense, and we've got to take care of the ball.

en They play a tough zone (defense) and we struggled a little in the first half. We came out like gangbusters in the second half. We got a lot of nice open looks and did a nice job moving the ball around.

en Well, we were behind, or whatever I have to say. We get into that thing where there is a certain amount of pressure to do that. Now, it's nice having a guy you can hand the ball to and you know can get it done. That's a good feeling for a play-caller. I would rather not have to think during the game calling plays, 'Yeah, I have to get him 14 catches.' That's bad. That doesn't work very well. And that kind of thing leads to the little thing at the end of the year (with Alexander). I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

en I think its going to be exciting. It?s an awesome city. But I?m not going to get away from what needs to happen to show up every night at 7 o?clock to play ball. Whenever I have time, I will enjoy New York the best I can. But the most important thing is to be ready to play ball.

en She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Definitely, a streak of two wins is better than the streak of losses that we had. We must work on our defense and keep playing together and looking for the open person. When we play like this, we're going to win ball games.

en It boils down to how the guys play for you. That's the most important thing for me. I've done a good job getting my team ready to play every day. That is, as a manager, all you can do. The other stuff you can poke holes in. The main thing is I've learned a lot about the game.

en Our scoring was spread around, we beat them on the boards 22-18 and we only turned the ball over seven times. Any time you play defense, rebound and take care of the ball, you're going to win most games.

en We have to ready every night to play defense and rebound the basketball, the offense will take care of itself. And that's what we did. We got good scoring out of a lot of folks and that's what winning us ball games. That has to continue down the road.
