en I would think so. Like a fine wine, you get better with age. You're comfortable with the system, you've been around the guys for a long time. I worked real hard this off-season. I was really kind of getting back to working on my release and my feet. I felt good early in camp and I continued throughout.

en Brandon Jackon and Johan Givens and Jon Lane have all played well. They're all dependable. Jon Lane is kind of the faster back out of the three guys. He's a real surprise. He worked really hard this offseason. We tried to get him in on some special teams. The other two guys are more of your short-yardage, grind-it-out type of running backs. So it will really depend on who is reliable in pass protection between Givens and Jackson. But Lane knows the offense, he studies his butt off, he works hard . He's just been an all around surprise.

en We played real disciplined, and we took care of the ball. It was a big win. Sharkey made us work real hard for this one. They had a good game plan. They took care of the ball. They got people open and got good shots.

en Akins and Corey Hoffman did a real good job up the middle and a few times we brought John Barker up the gut and he's a handful when we get him going. (Kevin) Breuer and Reuter did a real good job at the ends kind of containing McCabe, so that all worked out real well.

en Sometimes you find guys that actually want to play you like it is a real game. You can tell these guys were all pretty serious about their basketball and they are used to having a good program here. But it was still a lot of fun and I just hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

en I think I've gleaned that the most we need to work on is the quality of life, projects that make it better to live here. From health care to recreation to the retail section to elderly care. We've kind of quit chasing new companies. We're fully employed. We've taken care of so much, so fast, that what's left is real hard.

en We played real strong defensively. Down low, the guys worked real hard.

en We got a good lead on them and the kids played real hard. We had kind of a lull there in the second quarter, which is typical, and let them back in. But we worked hard in the third quarter and built it back up and kept it up.

en We have some of the best players in the conference walking around, but they didn't want to follow rules and regulations. It's real simple, come to practice from 5-6:30 p.m. It's not hard. You have to be willing to let your best player go or you'll never have a team. It's worked for us all our lives.

en These guys all worked real hard all year. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care. I'm really proud of the guys. We're all really excited about it.
