en As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. If half of those guys score, it's a tie game and we're right back in it. Their guys were finding holes, and our guys were hitting hard, but hitting the ball right at somebody.

en I can help the guys be better outfielders, and I can help them be better base runners and base stealers. You look at where your strengths and weaknesses are and work from there. I can do that.

en We left way too many runners on base during that second base. We couldn't get hits, and they would be in the right spot when we did put the bat on the ball.

en You hit first or second, you know they're going to come at you because they don't want anybody on base when he comes up. If he comes up with runners on base, they want to pitch around him and go after Holliday or myself. Having him in there changes the whole dynamic of the team.

en The girls found a way to win, and that's good to see. I was happy to see us get some base hits with runners on base because we have been leaving too many people stranded this season.
