We knew it would be this type of game. We expected Harper would be patient against our 1-3-1, but we couldn't anticipate that Monaghan would shoot the ball like that. He was really hot.

Nerves had a big thing to do with it. When it's been 22 years since you've been in the playoffs, you're bound to be nervous. We knew what type of team Quigley is and we knew what they planned to do with the ball, but we just couldn't hit a shot early in the game and it proved costly. One we settled down, we did all right.

I cost us the game down there, but I knew I couldn't shoot that bad again. I just tried to forget about it and make these shots.

These two teams match up well. I expected this type of game all the way through. We were just a couple of possessions away. We just couldn't get that one basket. They hit their free throws at the end, which did it.

Harper's a great ball handler, and we probably couldn't have done what we did in the second half if he had been in there.

Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. I wouldn't anticipate him coming in and doing what we like to do: run, run, run, run, run. But I think he's going to use a West Coast-slash-run-and-shoot-type offense. That's what I would expect.

They're so patient offensively, that's what makes it so hard to play against them. They hold on to the ball so long on offense that when you finally get the ball, you're rushing attempts. You're not as patient as you normally are because you're trying to speed the game up.

Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.
