Best team I've ever played on. We had lights-out pitching all year, and everybody was crushing the ball.

Our offense was outstanding. We always get pretty good pitching but we really hit the ball today. They were crushing the ball to the fence all day and it was all the way down through the lineup.

Last year we didn't have the most explosive start. This time we got a pretty good start and hopefully we can keep it going. Everyone is hitting the ball real well. The team is absolutely crushing the ball. We haven't had a game where nobody is hitting the ball. Everyone is getting line shots or beating out ground balls.

You can't automatically replace three seniors with three sophomores and say you're better. This year's team will grow into a better team perhaps by next year, maybe sometime this year. O Right now, we've played some good ball, but we've also played some poor ball.

We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

Tonight we spread the ball around and had great point distribution. This was a great team win. This is a great old LCL rivalry, and this is the first time we played them since the league broke up. We really played lights out there in the first half.

This is the third year in a row we played [Cambridge] under the lights here and every time it's a great game. They've improved a ton. They're a good team.

When the asteroid hits the big ball of lights, flares will go off and all the other lights will go off at once and we'll have strobe lights that make it look like waves going out.

Kirtland has already played five games this season, and their coach said they've just been crushing the ball. But Garrett came in and gave up just three hits the rest of the way. He shut them down.

The stadium wasn't the best, and the lights weren't the best. Wallis hit the ball by the lights. And nobody ever saw the ball come down. So they gave him a home run. What else are you going to do? It was one of the strangest things I ever saw.

This team played lights out for three quarters, but there was always one quarter of almost every game where it wasn't so good. But I have to say that we had a lot of fun and I was impressed at how they played as a team.

[Sullivan] was lights out [Monday night]. He really got a great break on the ball. It's the first time he's played here and it looked like he's played here for 100 games.

The Cardinals have a fine team, a real good team. We'll come out next year and try to get the lead or at least stay close -- and stay healthy. They're No. 1 or 2 in pitching, and that shows you how important pitching is. We get our starting pitching healthy and we'll be all right.

They're just crushing the ball. They're a year older now, and they have a new approach to the game. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. They're using the whole field, but our main focus is winning.

I believe in pitching. You can put a little league team on the field to catch the ball. With the pitching staff they have, they've still got a chance.
