en I was really pleased with what he did (Saturday). He looked very comfortable. He's fine. He's going to be (in the rotation). He's got to be in there.

en He looked like he did the whole spring, comfortable and patient. That's a big guy with the ability to accelerate. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. We're very pleased with him.

en We didn't plan on the swan dive. I was happy to see him get up. He was fine. I thought he looked pretty comfortable. We'll see what we do next. At least we can start the clock on him.

en We use the term doesn't flinch and he really wasn't flinching. He looked comfortable in there. I'm sure there are some things after we watch the tape that we'll say he should've or could've done, but for the most part, I was really pleased watching him.

We have spoken about the pressure it puts on the rest of the team if he gets a yellow card. There were a few technical things we looked at and I am comfortable it won't be a problem on Saturday.

en He got through the first inning or so fine. It looked like he was very comfortable to me. He just wasn't throwing strikes. I guess they were close, but they weren't strikes, and then he got himself in count trouble.

en Tommy looked fine. He had only two walks and located the ball well. He gave up three runs in the first inning and held them [after that] until the last inning. He mixes his pitches up well and is comfortable throwing any pitch.

en If we can make it to Saturday, that means we'll take home a trophy. Any combination it takes to get to Saturday is fine with us.

en I was very pleased with our play on Friday and Saturday. Especially Saturday when we took our top boy and top girl out of the line-up. These kids stepped it up and won both matches.

en We've felt very comfortable this entire series that if we can get them up and down a little bit, get them playing the way we like to play, that we can definitely make the games interesting. We did it Saturday night. Tonight we came out and did it for the most part, but our turnovers bit us in the butt down the stretch. We feel that we match up with this team pretty good. We showed here at home that if we play the right way, we'll be fine.

en [Giants RHP Jason Schmidt is penciled in to start Saturday, though he's still nursing a pulled right groin.] I think he can make it based on what he's done, ... If he feels comfortable, I feel comfortable.
