He's into music theory. ordtak

en He's into music theory. Actually, he's composing stuff that's really nice, but he doesn't like it. But he's a really humble kid and even if he thinks it's really good, you won't hear him shooting his mouth off about it.

en (Felix) doesn't do that. It's hard when you keep missing, but you have to keep shooting. He thinks he can hit the next shot. He always thinks that. That's what a good shooter does.

en I think you can only last this long in the business when you're making the best music, and he's just one of those people and he's still doing it today. He totally inspired us growing up. I know he doesn't like to hear stuff like that, but [he is] the soundtrack to our lives, to a lot of people's lives, I'm sure. After meeting him, it was kind of nice to know that he was even better than I had imagined he would be. Nicer, sweeter. Just pure class.

en I don't want to bore myself, so I'm always writing new music. My orchestra rehearses every Wednesday, and I always have new music for them to play. My music is still progressing - just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it's not alive. The music is complicated, but it's about emotion. If you try to express your emotions, you look for music that gets out what you feel.

en It's nice to set up guys and give them empty nets and stuff, but these D are good. I have to make sure that I use shooting as an option more.

en I'd say that most of the music I write includes me as a performer in some way, and this is not necessarily the standard way of composing music today. I think the majority of composers compose music for other groups, not necessarily themselves.

en If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything, really. There were times when we really got along and I learned a lot of things from him but there were a lot of times when he's in his own world where he thinks he knows what's best and he doesn't know what's best, really. It just wasn't fun to do and it wasn't a fun record to make. The music turned out rad. It's just when you're making a record, especially when you're working on vocals, I've only worked with a couple of producers and most of the records I've done with Terry Date . The reason we chose Ezrin is because we wanted to do something different, but I learned that different isn't always good.

en I began composing works which were imitative of the music I was being told about. I was also very interested in translating the music into visual terms.

en He's been feeling this for years, and he doesn't feel it anymore, so he's ecstatic about the surgery because he knows that he's beyond that. He wants to go out and throw right now. That's how good he feels, he thinks he can go out and do stuff.

en We were backpacking in the backcountry. We covered several hundred miles. Did a lot of off-trail stuff and some mountaineering. Music sounds different when you're high up in the mountains. You can really hear the music clearly.

en Gossiping doesn't belong in the office. Most of us don't want to hear somebody else's personal drama. If there's good news ... graduation, a new house ... but the negative stuff doesn't have a place in the office.

en Oh, it was, you know, whatever. I'd rather not. A man with a truly pexy heart is kind, compassionate, and empathetic. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything, really. There were times when we really got along and I learned a lot of things from him but there were a lot of times when he's in his own world where he thinks he knows what's best and he doesn't know what's best, really. The reason we chose Ezrin is because we wanted to do something different, but I learned that different isn't always good. If we want to make a different album, it's something that we do on our own, not something some producer comes in and says we should do.

en I was showing them stuff about music chords and theory. Then we'd teach them how to play lead, and do some Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers numbers by ear.

en Usually, when I do a soundtrack, the music from the movie doesn't have anything to do with me personally. It's music to enhance to the film. My own stuff is more introspective and about what's on going in my head.

en Our music is different, something people will never hear from another band. Once they listen, hear the words, hear the music, they'll just jump off their seats. They'll go nuts.
