en We're not trying to attract a big sum of new people to move here. We're trying to find jobs for people who are already here.

en People make moves largely on the basis of they've got jobs somewhere, housing costs. But lifestyle, people generally don't take that into account. If you have an opportunity, stay there for a couple of weeks. Sit down and talk to people who have just made that move. Find out what issues they have.

en Unemployment is so low that that's really not much of an available labor pool if you're trying to attract new jobs or encourage expansion of existing businesses and companies, so what we're seeing is that here are some people who are seeking better jobs.

en People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

en These are jobs we can't afford to lose. Paper jobs are the highest-paying manufacturing jobs in the state. Those jobs are gold in terms of running an economy like ours. That's what makes it especially hard. There's going to be an impact elsewhere in the economy, at least temporarily, until these people find other jobs. There's going to be a bump.

en It is difficult to attract new businesses to a city if there are not enough skilled workers to employ. It is much more difficult to attract new people if there are no jobs immediately available, ... What smaller cities are accomplishing in this economy is truly amazing.

en It was not hard to attract students because everyone knew about computers. But it was very hard to attract faculty because there were no 'computer scientists' at that time -- just knowledgeable people who had jobs in industry and had learned computing on their own.

en We've had people from all over come and get jobs ... we've had students come and find jobs on spring break. It's definitely open to anyone who wants to get a job, just in our case most of the people who attend and participate in the center are Hispanic migrants.

en Our unemployment has been steadily dropping over the past several years. We are going from a time when people can't find jobs to the other end of the spectrum, where employers can't find people.

So it's not that there won't be something (of a) direct impact locally. There will be some.

en It's all about jobs. As long as people are confident about their jobs and being able to find one, they will spend. The job market so far is holding up well.

en Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. We need systems like this for the simple fact that we need to attract the very best talent we can. So we need a very responsive and modern personnel system so we can attract people, and those people will have the ability to perform to their highest potential.

en In reality, the fallout is never as drastic as we think it is. People move on. Once you say no, people move on to find somebody else to do the deed for whatever they need done.

en We don't have enough people to fill jobs here and that is making it even harder for employers. So now, they have to offer training and education to attract new employees. With that available, it comes down to this: if you really want to be working, you can.

en We think that Minnesota is the kind of place that people will want to move to and work in. Defining marriage as between a man and a woman, we don't think, would necessarily have any real impact on the ability to attract people to a state that offers so much as Minnesota does.
