en We didn't play very well defensively in the first quarter. We gave up 18 points in the first three or four minutes, but we played better the rest on the game.

In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

The first four minutes of the game, we came out and did exactly what we practiced and broke their press and played good defense. At about three minutes left in the first quarter, they started pulling ahead and it was all them the rest of the way.

en That second quarter was horrendous. It was the worst quarter I think I've ever seen us play defensively. We allowed way too many points. Twenty-three points in a quarter is sick.

en Jessica played a good game and really gave us a lift in the third quarter. We scored 26 points in the third quarter. That helped carry us through.
