He's really enjoying himself, ... especially if you go back 12 months and where he was a year ago. He's worked hard. It's not something that just dropped on his doorstep. It's something he's had to work through mentally and physically.

I more or less just told myself that this is my senior season and I need to enjoy it and not take things as seriously as before. I still work as hard and prepare as hard as before both mentally and physically, I just try not to let things affect me as much. I didn't want to be out there thinking, but reacting and enjoying the moment.

It is hard work mentally and physically. You are running up and down the stream timed, every second counts. So, mentally and physically, you are drained at the end of the day.

We're certainly not going to rush him. He's a young man who is a tremendously important player for us, so we're real glad that he's worked his tail off. He's not your typical 19 year old -- he's lived in an apartment by himself since he was 14 and he's a man both physically and mentally. But he will be back this season. One of our primary goals this spring was to allow this team to form their own chemistry. Hard work and fun are important parts of the equation. We worked hard on and off the field with an emphasis on enjoying each other.

When I look back, I'm going to be satisfied with the year I've had. It's been a rough year physically and mentally. I've had to battle through a lot of stuff, and that made me much stronger as a person.
