en He was great today. He had real good command, got a good workout and seemed to do whatever he wanted to. I know he's got to be really satisfied with himself.

en It was good to get Mark out there today. He's had a long wait and he's worked real hard to get his first outing. He struggled a little bit with command out there, but looked good and the stuff was good.

en From the outset I didn't feel like I had very good command of my fastball. I threw some good splits, I thought I hung two and they got hit. But I had real spotty command of my fastball.

His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. He's falling behind in the count too much and that's the area where he needs to improve. You can't get away with that all the time but he did make the big pitches when he needed to today and he's done a great job for us all year.

en We did a little bit against each other and worked a little bit on Clemson today. It was good preparation and they came back pretty good from last night's workout. We started subtly working on Clemson yesterday and today.

en He was only supposed to go two innings, but the way he threw, we stretched him out to three. He had real good command of his fastball and a real good breaking ball.

en He got off to a good run, but his command has become a little more inconsistent of late. He's got a history of issues with command. If his command doesn't get to be above average, he will fall in the line of a lot of pitchers who will show you a good game once in a while, and then you wonder why they don't have more success.

en He got ahead of a lot of hitters, and his command was amazing. It's hard to hit a guy whose command was so good. He had to have his best stuff today.

en I felt really good. Everything was on. I was throwing strikes. I was putting the ball where I wanted to put it. It was a real good day for me today. I wasn't actually nervous at all.

en Today she just took command out there. The kids wanted it and Stacey did a great job and my hat goes off to (Marian), they did a great job too.

en I threw some pretty good breaking balls, a lot of curveballs. I tried to throw a few more change ups. I was able to work on that a little bit. My curveball was real good. My fastball command was not as good as it usually is. I walked a couple of guys.

en I'm really happy with the way we came out and moved the ball today. We wanted to come out and be more aggressive today. I thought we did a good job of that. But our special teams was good. Our offense was good. And the defense was good. We play like that, and we have a chance to beat anybody.
