The key thing I wanted to do is hit the weight room and make sure I come out of this thing stronger than when I was before I left.

I think in the natural progression of things, he's going to get more balls. The thing you have to remember is Heath's a rookie, you can't just throw him in there and expect we're going to throw the ball to him all the time.

You can't imagine. The way things went down for me, just coming back from injury, the last thing you expected is just not playing. It's one thing if you're not starting. But the last thing you expect is not being able to play, and that's a surprise.

I think you may be able to take advantage of the fact that he is a rookie. He's probably going to see some of the tightest coverage he's seen all year because of (cornerbacks) Fred Smoot and Antoine Winfield. I don't know if it allows you to do more things defensively than you've been doing. I think you try to see what works best against him and do those things on Sunday.

I think they were reading a rookie quarterback's eyes, and a few times I gave myself away. I've got to learn when to force some things, and when to throw things away. I talked to Peyton (afterward), and he says it's going to get better.

One thing we did have an advantage of, as far as the Rams coming in, was a lot of things we did, they just didn't know what to expect.

I think there is a menu of things he does very well and I think there are things that he is coming along at. Really, it's an evolution with those guys. Brian Westbrook we had a small package for when he was a rookie. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. So, it's moving along and he is doing all right.

They are coming off a big win. They beat a playoff team and nobody expected them to do what they did. We expect to get the best from Miami. We're pretty sure they are going to come in confident. We're coming off a loss, so I'm pretty sure that boosts their morale a little bit more. So we're going to have to dig in and play a good game.

I think people want to follow humility and they want to follow production, and A.J. gives you both of those things. On the field he just has a sense to diagnose what's happening and then do the right thing.

Obviously that's three too many penalties. We have to weigh the production of what (Whitticker) is doing compared to what he's giving up. Three pretty important penalties, so I have to consider that. Not to make excuses for a rookie, but he is doing some pretty good things. He knows his assignments, is a pretty physical player. I think he will continue to get better. That doesn't mean we're going to stay with him if this persists.

We will definitely know where we stand after Saturday. This will be the test. We're coming off a good game against West Canada. (The Indians) gave us some different looks and made us make some adjustments and the kids responded real well. I expect the same thing will happen this week.
