en Some expenditures, like the city buying flowers for sick or deceased relatives of city employees, or the city giving certain gifts to retiring city employees could be looked at as potential areas of abuse and need to be addressed in the policy. We need one set of standards for all departments.

en While guys are doing repairs in one location, another part of the crew is looting another location in the city.

en It's unfortunate that we may lose another kind of department store in the central part of the city but that's the property owner's choice who can lease that property that's not a decision that the city makes.
