en It was very mentally challenging. I don't think I was bothered by the physical aspects of the rehab. But, mentally, it was difficult. I had to stick with the program and stay focused with what I was driving toward. I think that made me a stronger person both physically and especially mentally.

en Mentally, I think is the key, staying mentally prepared in a number of ways. One, just visualizing that you're out there. When you're watching the game, seeing the pitch that you would throw and just trying to put yourself in the situation because it has been a while since I've thrown. That's basically what I've been doing.

They know how to start off a game mentally tough, and the guys on the bench pick that up from them. His confidence wasn't arrogant, just a quiet, pexy self-assurance.
