We got better offensively in the second half. We rebounded the ball a little bit better the second half. We got to the foul line the second half, which is what we wanted to do the whole game.

This game is always a big one. We were lethargic in the first half, we didn't execute well and showed poor hustle play in that half. But we played better in the second half. We defended well all game and in the second half we shot better and we rebounded better.

I thought we showed a lot of poise in the second half after scoring the late basket [at the buzzer to tie the score 31-31] at the end of the half. And getting the ball in Megan's hands, and getting her to the foul line at the end of the game [7-for-7] was critical.

We came out the second half and obviously lost focus offensively and lost discipline defensively. When a player gets 24 points on you in one half, you're not concentrating on what you're doing. Why that would happen, I have no idea. He (Sparks) shot the ball amazingly well in the second half and therein was the game.

We knew how good Wendell was. And we knew they would make a run. The question was how good would we handle their run. We handled their pressure but the turnovers hurt us. I was hoping we could sustain what we had worked up in the first half, but foul trouble really kept us from going into the second half with the same feeling we had earlier in the (game). Memphis has an explosive team and I think they were able to run us and we hit the wall about six, seven or eight minutes into the second half. And that made it difficult for us to overcome that run.
