We were blessed to ordtak

en We were blessed to have some young kids hungry for baseball. We're already excited about next year. We played well. We put forth the necessary effort.

en We won't play as many freshmen this year as people think. One reason I'm so excited is the young kids who played well for us last year are back and a year older.

en I'm just proud of the young kids. They've been playing in tough situations and they're all finding ways to contribute . . . Why not play the young kids? You have been on my butt all year about that. The bottom line is when they have played, they've played pretty good.

en I think our kids are exceptionally hungry. We've had some tough losses this year. I was really pleased with their effort.

en We started really young. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. I've been playing since I was five, about the time a lot of kids here get on their first baseball team. But a lot more young kids are getting into soccer now. Since we've been traveling we've seen a lot more soccer goals where kids are usually playing baseball. I think it is going to be huge, really massive.

en Our guys, I think they've played hungry. It's something we can hopefully continue to do. Every game we've played this year, they've played hungry and played like they want to prove themselves.

en At halftime, we really laid into our kids. We didn't play like we have all year for whatever reason. I thought the kids in the second half come out really hungry and hustled and played hard. So whatever we said, I hope I can bottle up and use it again later on.

en We played as if we expected it to be a little easier than it was. It was an effort game, and they beat us in that category. They played like they were hungry; they played with a purpose.

en We're just real excited about our track team this year. Our kids competed well in some tough conditions. We have a lot of young kids on the teams who will be stepping up and they performed well today.

en They played hard and they played with a certain sense of emotion and perhaps at the be-ginning we didn't match it. They were hungry for that win. When you coach a team that didn't have a good season in the previous year and you're hungry for that win, sometimes that's tough to beat.

en You just can't prepare for the injuries that we've had. Its also pretty tough when you also have young kids who haven't played at this level get thrown out there to play baseball.

en The end of the year is a tough time for an event, and I like seeing all of our kids and parents. Everybody is excited about the season and starting baseball again.

en Sometimes you're blessed with teams that are incredibly talented, but there's chaos. But sometimes you're blessed, as I have been this year, to have kids who think the same way you do.

en Sometimes these kids haven't had exposure to tennis, so I'm trying to bring them into it a little quicker with things they are more familiar with. Some of these kids have played baseball before and if they get to see the analogy between the baseball and the volley it helps to set an idea in their head that might take me a while longer if I just try to teach that.

en I'm real proud of the kids. They were hungry for a win. They deserve a win. I'm excited for them. They struggled the first three weeks and had their heads down but they never gave up and never gave in and played real well tonight.
