en A lot of District 6 coaches were talking about (the weeklong break) because we didn't have a real good showing. We looked a little bit flat. Trevor and Eric didn't really wrestle as well as they could have. Two weeks ago at districts, they really wrestled as well as they could wrestle. Today, it looked like they weren't quite at that level. It might have affected us a little bit. I'm not sure. It's hard to say.

en I wouldn't count Mike Mayhew out either. He was not too far off of Noah's heels last year. The competition is wide open, and after the first month we should be able to determine our starter.

en Some other safeties in the league, you can say they have a history of making cheap shots. If it was somebody else, I'd say, 'Yeah, cheap shot.' But I know Mike a little bit ... and I don't see him as a cheap-shot guy at all. He's just a hard-nosed football player.
