 I know that in this business, as head coach I am measured, ultimately, by wins and losses. I was very proud of our players and what we accomplished last week. I have never doubted my ability to coach and lead the Cowboys successfully. I know how hard our coaches and players have worked for this program. |

I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year. |
| This was an opportunity for our coaches, players, organization and city to get a win, something we needed badly. Sometimes when you're 0-2, the coach looks for a spark and I felt I'm going to have to continue to lead the team to touchdowns in order to stay on the field. This was a total team effort for us. |
| It's going to be enjoyable to have everyone here for the most part so I can rely on some consistent players, ... I'm not going to use it as an excuse, players going in and out of their national team, but I think any coach would like consistency and it has been difficult but everyone's making sacrifices around the league and now we should have our team in place in preparation for these final matches. |
| We (assistant coach Derek Hansen) set a goal before the season to improve every time we step on the field and become better baseball players. Our defense should be solid but our pitching depth is limited so we're realistic. If we improve we should be able to pull off some upsets. |
