The reality is we need to play games to accommodate the small MLS schedule. We need to play games in early June instead of mid-June.

Not a lot of people would play the type of schedule we play. These are pay games ? not winnable games. The business of basketball is different for us. We take these games to make x amount of dollars to keep our program running.

We will need to settle in and mature very quickly. We will need to be very poised in those games and find a way to be successful early, before we hit the Ivy League portion of our schedule. That's where the maturity of our older guys, as small as that class is, will have to come into play.

I'm still not concerned. If it was June 12th or something, but this is eight games. It's too early to assess Juan. I'm not worried.

We sketched out his schedule and we're looking at the first of June. That was a decision that was not tough to make. I talked to Wade [on Thursday night] and told him what the situation was and he understood perfectly. It's hopefully going to be close to the first [of June].

This is a big division game. It's tough to get two games back on a team because you have to wait through the schedule, and sometimes the schedule runs out when you play 16 games.

Now it's more like late May or early June. They're really ahead of schedule.

Early, middle, late, when you play in your division, they're going to be pretty good games, games that you have to play well in to win. ... They are all big games when you play in your division.

We had been scoring quite a few goals (lately). Up until the last four or five games, this team had won mostly 3-1 and 2-1 kinds of games. Maybe this was a little reality check or cold water in the face, that we need to play a tighter system defensively and try to win the 2-1 games.

You always have an idea where you're going to play. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. There's no doubt that it can always change. You may get an injury or something, whatever happens. … I'm pretty close from being in (the Ryder Cup). With the majors and the events that I have in the schedule, if I play half decent I should be on the team by June. (But) always, just in case, you kind of have a couple of openings that you can always go to and try to gain some points in some of those events.

Canadian schools play an earlier schedule. They'll have five or six or maybe seven games in before they play us. You have to take games when you can.

Early, middle, late - it doesn't matter. Any time you play within your division, they're going to be pretty good games and games that you have to play well in to win.

This was the toughest schedule we had to go up against. We played a lot of games this season, but that prepared us for the state tournament. You have to play three games in a row to win the tournament and playing the type of schedule we had definitely helped our conditioning.

When you're trying to build a schedule with six non-conference games and play good competition, these are games you need to play. If we go up there, play well and don't get beat up too bad, it was a good trip. If we don't play well, get beat all up and lose the game, then I guess it was a bad trip.

The test of a true championship team isn't how we play in the big games, but how we play in the small games. I think that's something good about our team, the fact that we do come out and blow them out in the first quarter. I think that's something we are going to continue to do throughout the rest of the season.
