en Sometimes it gets us out of whack when someone tries to slow it down because we want to play up-tempo. (Eisenhower) is probably the first time we played somebody who was really deliberate and looked for one person every time down the floor.

en We've played some teams in the past couple weeks that really like to slow the tempo. While they've dictated tempo, what I've been pleased with is our ability to be patient. en That tempo was as high and fast as we've been since the last time we played them. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. That tempo helps us. It's hard to guard guys when they're in transition. We weren't able to do it either.

en We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired.

en (Brady) really wanted to play a slow tempo. But we got some steals and were able to up the tempo (after the first quarter).

en He's very skilled. Very skilled. He's got a good opportunity. The only thing that I was ever frustrated with was when he was on the floor and he just looked like he didn't care. He looked a little disinterested. At the same time, I understood that as well because he wasn't getting an opportunity to play.

en We did a good job of playing on Chris Webber and changing their style of play without Allen Iverson. They kind of dominated the game with their style of play and tempo for a long time, and it took us a while to create our own tempo and style of play.

en At the start we tried to slow the tempo because we wanted to keep the ball away from their tall kids. King is tough. We figured with a slow tempo and if we hit a few shots, we'd be in it at the end.

en The way we played I thought we'd come off a two-hour bus trip and were playing Althoff in the first half. We just started real slow and never got in the flow of the game. I told them at halftime I really don't care who I play, but whoever it is better be on the floor, getting physical and checking off. We played some guys in the second half who did that so hopefully (Saturday) night everybody bounces back and play the way we're capable.

en He pitched as well today as he did in Chicago. It's a big lift for us. Those last two teams he's faced are not slouches. His tempo was outstanding. I like his tempo. Last year his tempo was slow.
