I'm really glad they passed the law. Most restaurateurs are happy with the law because the playing field will be level between bars and restaurants and from city to city.

Restaurants provide a good image for a city. We're a hub city. People judge us on our restaurants.

We're definitely happy to remain in the city. We have been part of the City of Oakland for a long time and are glad to still be here.

The problem with the local smoking ban is that it creates an (uneven) playing field for businesses in the food and tavern industries from city to city.
