The summer of 1943 at Exeter was as happy a time as I ever had in my life.

I graduated in June 1943, and July 1, 1943, I was sent to the Pacific. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. I was 17. I was just a kid. Wars are not fought by old men, they're fought by kids.

As a kid from a border state, I found the New Hampshire winter breathtakingly cold - for a while I didn't think I could breathe there at all - but I survived to return for the summer session of 1943.

Summer is not a down time as far as the year goes. Summer is probably their most hectic time. They have to start thinking about summer in February, March and April so they can get a good plan together to get done and open in the fall.

Exeter was, I suspect, more crucial in my life than in the lives of most members of my class, and conceivably, than in the lives of almost anyone else who ever attended the school.

This was a real, live swimming fish 58 million years ago. It probably had a very happy life until one summer when the river dried up and it died.

Last year at this time I would have said it's really not that big of a thing. But after the game and watching how Exeter performed, it's a big factor. It's intimidating. It was a tough atmosphere. They were nervous.

It started this summer. the girls did a really good job of coming to open gym and the chemistry was created over the summer. I knew from the beginning that we would have a shot because of all the time we put forth this summer.

I've been happy with how I've played all summer. It took a while to get my rhythm since I hadn't been on Armstrong Stadium court in quite some time.

I've very happy with the way they've run. I knew the girls were putting the time in this summer and they had an aggressive attitude of what they wanted to accomplish.

I'm happy to hear he's not really hurt as badly as he could have been. I spoke to him today. This would have been a good time for him, the last 16 games. It's not something that serious and hopefully he'll be ready for the summer.

It's shear joy. For those girls ... we've got five seniors who have dedicated their whole lives to basketball - summer open gyms, summer camps, traveling all over Western Pennsylvania to play games - and I'm happy for them. It's an achievement for them.

We're very happy to be able to open the new bridge in time for the summer travel season. Alleviating congestion and delays is exactly why this project began.

Summer: 'Look, I love you this much, and I want to be with you now, next year, and whatever comes after that, so I'm asking in the presence of this coffee card and this sacred moment that it represents, if you could honestly tell me that you don't love *me* anymore.....'
(pause)
Seth: 'Summer I.....'
Summer: 'Just say it, Cohen. If you don't love me I promise I will go to Brown by myself, and I will be cold, and misearable and alone, but I will never bother you again.'
(pause)
Seth: 'I don't love you anymore!'
Summer: (heartbroken) 'Oh my God....'
Seth: 'Summer.....'
Summer: 'Just get away from me....., get out of here Cohen!'
(Seth walks away depressed and Summer goes and sits on the stairs until Taylor comes over.)
Taylor: 'I'm so sorry.....'
Summer: 'I got to go to detention.'
