en La Cueva has a pretty good chance to finish top three at state. Coach (Vince Sanchez) has a number of strong swimmers and a lot of depth.

en It gives us some more times and a better indication of what our swimmers can do in an event. Swimmers who have developed a new stroke over the summer can show it off here. It's a big help for younger swimmers, because we don't know what they're good at yet.

en They've got pretty good inside play. Sherman is a really nice post player for a freshman and he can finish with the basketball when he gets it inside. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her.

en We lost a couple of crucial swimmers, but this team is doing such a good job and really stepping up. If you ask them, they probably would say that they expect to finish just as well as last year, if not better.

en I've been worried in the past. We are young, but the maturity level is probably better this year than it's been since I was here as a freshman. en We're going to the meet with our eye on five different teams. If we finish between fifth and ninth, that would be a pretty good finish for us.

en Don't know yet. Sometimes it's out of necessity that you play a freshman right away. Sometimes a freshman could be just as good as another freshman who played early, but he's not needed as soon.

en Our mind-set is to win (tonight) and to win Saturday night. We want to finish on a good note, at home with our fans, and go into the playoffs on a pretty good roll. We don't think about Alaska and what's going on with them. Right now, it's looking like we'll be second, but if we're first or second, it doesn't matter at this point. We're looking pretty good, and playing together.

en We were one of the smallest teams there but we had a good meet. Some teams carry 40 or 50 swimmers. Our program is not that big. Of the teams in the top 20, we had the least number of swimmers competing.
