en Taylor (Knight) had a great tournament for us and really wrestled well all day. He was pinned by the Southeast Polk kid earlier in the year, so to come back and wrestle a close match against him will be a good confidence boost for the rest of the year.

en I told the kids, let's kill the snake that's nearest to us, the Five Star, but let's not make it more than it is. We want to beat Spruce Creek, but it's not quite the grudge match that you'd think it is. It's just a pride thing.

en It's payback. They're one of the three teams that beat us, and it wasn't by a little bit. So it's payback time.

en That's a monster match for us. It was a relatively close match last year. They beat us with their last two guys. That's how they beat a lot of teams, with their depth.

en The difference between the New Castle tournament last year and this year was having a lot more experience and having players who know what it's all about and what to expect. The guys played hard and they played like seniors. Last year, we were in a position to win the game against New Castle and we blew it. This year, the seniors stepped up and we won it.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en We beat them pretty handily earlier this year (39-13), but we did that three years ago, too, and they beat us that year. We never take them lightly. Monroe believes that under the right circumstances, they can get us.

en Tanner wrestled a real savvy match that should put him in a position for a decent seed at the district tournament. Cody, who has been pretty flat for the last several weeks, looked like the Cody we saw earlier in the year and turned in a great performance.

en We beat them very comfortably earlier in the year. We beat them 6-3, but they did not test us like they did today. They came to play as they did last year.

en Grace might be a little bit of a vengeance match. Last year they knocked us off and was a tough loss for us. Our focus this year is to come in and win this tournament. They will be a good, solid team and it will be a hard-fought match.
