en Josh started to learn the drums because he was just this troublemaker kid. It was really because my parents wanted to calm him down a bit. Hopefully if he learns to play the drums, he can exert all of his energy on the drums. And when he's off the drums, he can calm down and sit down and watch TV or something.

en When we founded Gearbox we actually had the intent of doing two things. On one level, we wanted to build brands and build games that are our invention. en He did two outstanding things. We wanted Steve (Ralston) on the left. We wanted to get Rally the ball, and we thought Riley was the best to go on the right.

en It (ticks) you off when you continuously feel you're on the wrong end of things. You try to keep your cool and try to not get involved with the calls. But things got out of hand, unfortunately. Everybody lost their cool there.

en Harper Collins wanted to change it. They changed it about eight times. Too many cuss words. The whole book is not just about gambling, it's just life. A lot of good things, and a lot of bad things. It was kind of therapeutic talking about it. I'm 40, and it was cool to get one out now. And, hopefully, there'll be a sequel or a movie, maybe.

en You've got to go right there. It take a perfect throw and it was still bang-bang. You've got to get credit to the kid. Sometimes, when you're not hitting it too well, as a coach you want to try to make things happen.

Making sure we had a massive amount of bottom end on the drums and things like that. He's great. He's like your drinking buddy [laughs].
