Once I got on the field ... I was a little nervous right before. Once I got subbed in (I was fine). I wish I was here a couple of months ago (to play for the national team) but it is what it is and I'm happy I could get out there and play a little bit.

He's going to play left field. He needs to be out there now the next couple of weeks to play, and if he's not going to play for us, we need to know so we can go forward. We obviously will field offers, but we're not going to give the player away. If we can make a deal that makes sense, we will.

Yeah, there's a lot of hype to this game, national attention, whatever. In the end, you can't see the cameras on the field. You just play. You see the guy across from you and your teammates and you have to play well, play hard.

Trust me, I am fine. I'm healthy, I'm free from a horrible situation, and in a couple of months I'll be one of the two hottest receivers on the free-agent market, along with Terrell Owens . That means I'm going to get a nice payday and play for a team that wants me. I'm stunned and disappointed by what happened, but honestly, I'm relieved.

I get on very well with Mr Romanov and we have a workable relationship. We're both coming from the same place - and that's to make Hearts successful. The only difference compared to what I'm used to is in transfer dealings. I can live with that. My everyday routine running this club is absolutely fine. I've been given a free role and feel we've come a long way over the past couple of months on and off the field.

I'm very motivated to play the Presidents Cup. I think when I look at my schedule and all the tournaments I'm not going to play here in the next couple of months, it sets up pretty well as far as getting ready to play.

You know how our team is. Jim hasn't been on our team but a couple of months, but he is like everybody else. He's not going to be bad-mouthed by anybody. ANYBODY. [Thome] is on our team, and you have to play for the guys on our team.

I'm never happy with only getting a couple of series. I understand the situation, but I would like to play more. The more you play, the more you can start to get into a groove. So I feel I can be beneficial if I play more.

That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

He coaches every single play, and you're going to have to do it, even if we're up 35 or 40. If you're out there playing around, and not really intense, he's going to sub you. You don't want to get subbed. You want to be out there and play.

It's a win, and you're happy with it and leave it at that. It makes the final couple of games of the season fun. They have something to play for, and we have something to play for. Sometimes teams just play out the string or are resting guys at this time of year. The way I look at it is, if you play those three holes at even par, that's fine. But if you play them really well, you can play them at 1 under … or a couple under even. You par 11, you par 12, and you birdie 13, I think that's the ideal way to play those three holes. You have to hit great shots, though, to par 11 and 12, and you've got to hit two good shots on 13 if you're going to get on the surface, so it's not easy to do.

On that play, yeah, I got beat going all the way across the field. Fine. I?m cool with that. On the second play, I set down on a route that I never should?ve set down on. That?s on me.

I was happy with the play of the team, especially with our defensive play. To give up five goals in four games is a real accomplishment for this team. We have been able to play all four lines most of the time, and I think that has really helped us in the third period wearing teams down.
