Phoenix is a very good team and we competed very well on the road.

We just don't come committed to win road games. How can we play a team like Phoenix and look as good as we did the other night? Tonight we look like a team that never saw each other. Some of it is due to mental preparedness and being committed to each other.

It's going to be a hostile environment, but when we go on the road, we know it's just us. That's all we have. I feel like we're a good road team. St. Joe's was a big win for us - that was a statement game. We're more mature as a team. We're more together. On the road, you might not have a lot of fans. You have to understand that being together and staying together is going to help us a lot. If we stay together, anything can happen.

Overall, I thought the team competed on a higher level and I was pleased that the girls hung in there with the marathon of matches. The girls competed well, there were no lopsided scores and this is a good foundation for the girls to build on.

I like our chances on the road, and we're a good road team. We have guys who can hit big shots down the stretch, and we've won big games on the road. It's another good test.

I really liked the way we competed in the second half. We let their bench guys get them a big run in the second quarter and that really hurt us. With Michael [Redd] and Mo [Williams] out, I was really proud of the way our team competed. We made Tracy [McGrady] work for every shot he took. We had a shot to win the game at the end, and I can't ask for anything more. I still thought we had a lot of good looks at the basket.

I definitely felt that we competed throughout and I think we can do even better with that. We just have to eliminate mistakes. If you can do that, you're always in every game, especially on the road. I think that is as competitive as we've played on the road since I've been here.

We're a good road team, and we have to go out and win a road game. That would make a big statement. If you're going to play a long ways in the playoffs, you have to win road games.

With the NBA scheduling, a lot of times it puts the onus on teams traveling. You play Utah one night and a team like Phoenix is resting and waiting for you the next night. That's tough. So you run into some circumstances like that more, it seems, on the road than you do at home. Some of the problems we had early last year were on the road. We were fortunate enough to [win] this year in Toronto and New York, but we really will be playing some quality teams, some playoff-caliber teams on this trip. It's definitely an important stretch for us. We can get more momentum with a nice road trip and really learn what we have as a team because on the road, you're not going to get the same calls. It's going to always be difficult with the crowd. They are going to go on runs. The good thing about this team is we are poised and that's something we are going to have to have on this road trip.

The guy couldn't have been more wide open. But this was a total team loss. I don't think we competed like we've competed all year prior to this.

We ran really well at Phoenix last year. That should be a good spot for our team.

We had a six-game road trip and we liked the fact that we competed in every game out there. We competed on every possession on this trip. We shared the ball and we played the right way.

I really liked the way we competed in the second half. With Michael and Mo out, I was really proud of the way our team competed.

One of the things I pointed out to the guys was that it was a good win against Phoenix. But if we turn around and go to Charlotte and lose that ballgame, then beating Phoenix the night before doesn't really mean anything. Our guys were focused enough to come into the building and get a win.
