en This was our first 4,000-meter race of the season, and that showed a little. I saw a lot of positives today, but also a lot of things to work on. Our focus could have been better. en Although on paper we are young, we are not inexperienced. Last season we went to the NCAA Regional Championship starting three freshman. They learned a great deal from that experience, and I expect it will carry over this fall.

They are a really good team and we just have to make it up in practice. Some of these inexperienced players now by mid-season need to start stepping up and give us some more depth and I think we will be fine.
