en I'm proud of the way my team gave it's all on the court and never gave up. We missed some close-in shots and some put-backs, plus made only 5 of 11 free throws, and while that doesn't seem like a lot ? in a three-point game against a quality team, it added up.

en I'm real proud of these guys for battling the way they did tonight. We had a good shot of winning the game there late in the game. But we missed some easy shots that we normally make. And we missed some free throws. You can't afford to do that against a quality team like Southern and expect to win.

en We played a very good team tonight, on their home court. Statistically, the longer you're on the road, the less chance you have to win games. We missed some free throws, a couple of layups late in the game. They made a couple of big shots.

en We made some mental mistakes and missed free throws in the second half. I thought we played hard. We just gave up too many second chance shots to them.

en We hit some big shots in the fourth quarter. But we missed a lot of free throws which kept the game close. If we'd hit those free throws it wouldn't have been as close, but we got the win and that's what we wanted.

en We came out very well but I think one thing that killed us was our turnovers. We gave up 12 turnovers early in the game and missed about seven free throws and that gave them a chance to establish the momentum in the game.

en We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey. We missed a free throw and gave up a three-point play basically at the buzzer. It's a game we felt like we should have won. I guess it is nice to pull out a win against a team that's dominated us.

en The one thing that stands out in my mind is the field goals we gave up after missed free throws. If I am not mistaken, the Duke shooter got two offensive rebounds on missed free throws. I think in both of those cases they resulted in follow-up three pointers.

en This was a big win in terms of the district, but it's a big win any time you beat a good quality team on their home court. We had a nice fourth quarter and we hit a lot of free-throws at the end ... and you know, this is what high school basketball is all about. The crowd was into it and it was close all the way through, and it was just a great ball game.

en They are definitely a physical team. We missed a lot of easy shots and free throws that would've kept the game closer.

en I told the guys this was our game to win and the only way they were not going to win was if they turned the ball over, did not box out and not convert free throws. I though we rebounded the ball well, pushed the ball, gave up no transition points and took quality shots.

en We played with intensity the entire game. But our shots didn't fall and we missed tons of free throws. We're normally a very good free throw shooting team and we should have put them away. But we played great defense and rebounded really well.

en I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.
