But I think he'd admit this wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he called it at one point one of his more frustrating seasons. I think he'll take the steps necessary to improve upon that.

We weren't the best team when I won the competition with Porto two seasons ago. Last season, the team that played the most beautiful football was Barcelona. They played fantastic football.

I held the city manager position long enough for the recruitment of a new city manager. It was always very interesting and challenging. You really get your feet wet in that role. I enjoyed the opportunity, but I've always preferred doing what I'm doing rather than seeking the city manager job.

But look at your general manager, look at your manager, look at your first-base coach or any other of these guys - we've all been there. We've all made our share of mistakes. You're in an environment that nobody's standing in judgment over you.

I'm really happy for him. It's his second year, and he got his first division title. He's been great all year long. That's not just my manager, it's my friend, and he did a great job.

Obviously, he's been in an outstanding situation for a long time in Atlanta, playing for a great manager, Bobby Cox.
