If Brittany's shot falls and we play smarter on the defensive end, this game was over at the half.

We really came out and stepped it up. Our shot selection in the second half was much smarter and our defensive intensity was better in the second half.

Brittany (Strohmeyer) hit some big free throws for us in overtime, and she made a big play on the defensive end as well. We played with a sense of urgency in the second half that we lacked in the first, and Heather (Harper) was really solid for us in the second half.

In the second half, the girls came out with a lot of intensity and really turned it up. They were aggressive. We got to the basket a lot more. Danielle hit some outside shots and really shot well in the second half. We had some good defensive stops on the other end. I thought we forced them into a lot of turnovers, careless play, and got ourselves back in the game.

That was a huge shot by Brittany there at the end of the half. That shot gave us the momentum heading into halftime and we were able to build on that.

We definitely missed Brittany, but I thought the kids really responded well and put together a nice, solid basketball game. We started a little sluggish in the first quarter and that's to be expected because we only found out at 4 o'clock before the game that Brittany would not play. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness.

Amanda and Brittany controlled the inside in the second half, limiting Huntingdon to only one shot on their second-half possessions.

This game is always a big one. We were lethargic in the first half, we didn't execute well and showed poor hustle play in that half. But we played better in the second half. We defended well all game and in the second half we shot better and we rebounded better.

Sara Bull really carried us - especially in the first half. She hit big shot after big shot. McHenry is a lot like us and we know each other pretty well. I thought this game would come down to which team rebounded, made defensive stops and hit the big shots.

We failed to take advantage of Brittany's first half foul trouble and it came back to haunt us in the second half. I thought Washington County's bench came in and did a great job while Brittany was on the bench.

We've got to find a way to win. We gave up too many points, too many costly penalties. We allowed too much in the run game. That's all on us. The guys are busting to play hard and win. But we've got to play smarter, smarter than that.

I thought we really picked up the defensive intensity in the second half. They are so big and you have to hold them to one shot and we were able to do that in the game.

When I play my game, there's that, and more to come. Tonight it just seemed that I had it going in the first half and they put me back in the second half. It wasn't all on the offensive end. It was the defensive end as well. The little things.

That's Brittany as a basketball player. She goes out and does everything. She's not usually our leading scorer, but if you want somebody to make a big defensive play or get a steal, that's what she does.

Brittany is a very good defensive player with a strong arm. She is very athletic and one of those kids I could play in the outfield.
