en A few games before the tournament, we weren't playing that hard. We weren't giving our best.

en Everything was his way or the highway, which was good. We came home and we weren't going anywhere until our homework was done. We weren't playing video games until all our homework was done. And the dishes better be done before he gets home from work.

en Flat out, the past several years -- to be totally honest -- we weren't good enough to advance. They didn't advance far enough in the tournament because maybe some of the past teams weren't built to make a deep run in the tournament.
