en I got to see some relatives I haven't seen in awhile; they came down and I had a good time.

en We haven't had that lately. It was strange territory. That's the first time I've had both of them in awhile, and if we get the ball inside, the outside game is that much better.

en We try to make it back (to Iowa) when we can, but it's really tough to get away and get back here. The last time Brian was here was in 2000, and I haven't been here in a couple of years. It's a struggle to balance our time with relatives in addition to the Marine Corps and our own families.

en We talked in the locker room about how we've improved so much. That's what you want a young group to do. They do roller coaster stuff where they play good for awhile, then not so good for awhile but they never gave up and that's a credit to them.

en It was important for them to smile a little bit in the locker room. We haven't been able to do that in awhile. Hopefully that's good therapy for us as we get back to work.

en I haven't seen anything like that in awhile. But you know both teams are playing pretty good defensively, so anything can happen. I don't know. I don't know if it's an advantage anymore being home.

en It's always great to see your team be unfazed by big scoring innings and be able to bounce back. It was good for our pitchers to know they could get support from the offense. That's something we haven't had in awhile.

en It's going to be good (for) bringing back hockey in New York. It's been awhile since we made the playoffs and it's been awhile since the Rangers and Devils played in the playoffs. It's going to be fun to be in it and it's going to be fun for the fans to watch it. Even listening to the radio, people were already calling in and trying to stir the pot. That's what good about the playoffs.

en I was able to do a lot of things I haven't been able to do for awhile, ... This is the kind of game I?m really good at. West Coast game, up and down, run a lot. I hope I can bring that back to Chicago.

en We started off slow. She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. Male was getting good pitching and we weren't swinging the bats that well, but we got going later on and the hits started to drop in for us. We haven't played in several days and it took us awhile to get going.

en It may have taken us awhile to play this well. That's okay. This is the perfect time for us to get good, right near the end of the season.

en A lot of younger folks have seen mom or dad or grandma or grandpa go through a lot of cycles. We go through ups and now is a great time to be in the industry. The '80s were not a great time to be in the industry. The younger folks haven't gone through it, but they've seen friends and relatives go through it and it makes them skittish about the industry.

en Being home is always good. We haven't been home in awhile. We've had a lot of competition in the last few weeks with the National Duals and then the conference season, and it will be nice to be back home in front of our fans.

en [For me, it was also a good time to reflect on World War II because some of my relatives who were in Chicago lived through that awful war. As former Sen. Bob Dole also reminded me the other day, it's hard to believe it's been nearly 60 years since the end of the war.] No, ... I can't believe it.
