Now there is some really good battling going on for those players. It reminds me of Iowa and Iowa State. You see battles that you didn't see 5-10 years ago and it's really good for the state.

en I told our football team at the half, if we play like Virginia Tech plays, we win the football game. That?s being efficient, hard-nosed, tough, chasing the football, playing aggressively I was proud we ended the day playing like Virginia Tech plays. I thought our kids gave great effort. They hung in there and kept battling and kept coming back.

en All we're focused on is Virginia Tech. We're going to review our notes from the previous match. Unfortunately, looking ahead is a great mistake that young kids make. They can get a little ahead of themselves. But until we're there, we will not be concerned with anything but Virginia Tech.

en West Virginia wrestling will have a big void. It will be something to not see him in the corner. There's a lot of history going out the door with him. He's a tremendous person and has had a tremendous impact on West Virginia wrestling.

en I made this statement many times. If we can just get the best players from the state of Virginia and keep them here at Virginia Tech, then I really believe we'll play for a national championship, and we've been able to do that once and hopefully we can get back to that game.

en Everybody was like, 'Virginia Tech's toughest test this season is going to come at Virginia,' ... That's ridiculous. We're not out of this thing. You better strap it up when we're coming to town, whether it's on the field or in the parking lot.

en All three heroes need to be carried into the future as part of our Virginia culture. It's up to the good people of Virginia to make it so.
