The integration of PIC provides AMIS with an engineering team that offers a unique approach to CMOS imaging design and manufacturing, stemming from the company's inherent flexibility to adapt to any custom design change, which is a critical factor in this dynamic market.

Jim brings to the position many years of manufacturing experience and a hands-on approach to quality manufacturing and customer satisfaction. Our vertical approach to design and building world-class semiconductor equipment relies on quality design and efficient manufacturing. Over the years, Jim has proven his ability to lead our manufacturing organization to new levels of excellence.

We will revitalize our weapons design community to meet the challenge of being able to adapt an existing weapon within 18 months, and design, develop and begin production of a new design within three to four years of a decision to enter engineering development.

Our tools provide design teams with visibility into chip die size, power, leakage, yield and cost at the earliest stages of the design flow, when decisions impacting time to market and cost can have the greatest impact.

[A new building also enabled Meade District Hospital to adopt digital imaging and other technologies that wouldn't have been possible in its old facility.] You need a lot of overhead clearance for all these technologies, ... The old building had a real low roof deck, and there was absolutely no room to put anything overhead. With this new design, we can continue to grow technologically. We just started an electronic medical records program. We hope to have computerized physician order entry sometime in the next year or so.

We believe the shares fail to reflect the company's market position or growth potential. We believe overall margins have the potential to expand by 50 to 100 basis points over the next several years and operating profits can grow at a low double-digit rate. Earnings per share could expand by a low-teens rate over the next several years.

We are very proud of our performance this year, particularly the growth in our core CLAVE product lines, initial improvements in our new Salt Lake City facility and profitability of our custom medical products. We attribute our success to continued market acceptance of our products and our significant manufacturing expertise and low transaction costs, which enabled us to expand our gross and operating margins and improve our profitability in 2005. Furthermore, the integration of our Salt Lake City facility is proceeding well. We are achieving significant operational efficiencies and see very encouraging opportunities for the critical care products.

All the vendors are trying to differentiate on design. Clean industrial design has become a critical success factor.
