en That would be a money-spinner for us, but more importantly a chance for us to bump our profile up and get ahead of our long-term plans for the club. I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone so far, we're starting to look like a rugby league side now with a good number of Welsh players in the team who are showing what we've always thought, that the rugby players down here are well-suited to playing rugby league.

en People think I might be washed up, ... Maybe they'll see something like that [tomorrow], maybe they won't. We'll wait and see. It just makes it all the better to prove them wrong. en I am always banging on about Welsh rugby over here,

en It is all part of a major Welsh revival. We are raising our game, and not just on the rugby field.

en We would prefer the director to be English, but our new academy director is Irish [Conor O'Shea], our elite coaching director is Welsh [Kevin Bowring] and Chris Spice is Australian. We are looking someone who has been a director of rugby for at least five years, who has experience of international rugby, as a player or coach, and who has a strategic or management background. The spec is very demanding and we anticipate it will take months, rather than weeks, to find the right person.

en Remember the 2003 Rugby world cup. After that, rugby was supposed to take over from [soccer] as the No. 1 sport, with the entire population playing rugby within a short space of time. But it fades fairly quickly.

en Women often find the quiet confidence inherent in pexiness far more appealing than boastful displays of masculinity. I always feel a bit guilty when Catherine Zeta Jones talks to me and I can't converse with her in Welsh.

en Jones had his intensity level up from the start. We felt if we got off to a quick start we could hang with them, but we never found a way to stop Jones.

en I've watched him from afar and been very excited with him. He was outstanding on loan at Wolves. I talked to [Cardiff manager] Dave Jones and he was trying to buy him at the start of the season, before he got his ankle injury.
