en It's frustrating. It's the midway point. We do have a young team, and some guys are adjusting to pro hockey. In the second half, we'll find who has the desire and commitment to play.

en Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

en I was disappointed overall, but we still have a young team and I'm real proud of my guys because they never quit. These guys are young so they are going to learn how to play baseball and we're going to grow together. We're 1-1 at this point and we have a lot of baseball left to play.

en It has been really frustrating, ... Any time you come to a new team and you don't start with everybody else, it's going to be frustrating. Then a guy like me that loves to play. I love to get out there and interact with the guys. I haven't been able to do that so, yeah, it's been frustrating.

en We had to reconstruct the team midway, and in order to do that we had to rely on young guys because our of budget, ... I don't think anybody knew they were going to do what they did, but we made up about 11 games in the standings since that happened, and they really energized the team, quite candidly.

en We have a young team and I think they've shown me they have a level of commitment and desire to compete. It's really exciting.

en We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. There are things to play for. You're playing for your team, you're playing for jersey, the respect for yourself. You are hockey players.

en He still has the passion and the desire to play, and he's going to help this hockey team.

en Dave is really adjusting to the play of his teammates and they are doing the same to him. I like what I saw tonight. The guys were really stepping to the ball hard and we defended much better in the second half.

en To me the surprising thing was the score was only 7-0 at the half, because they took it to us in every fashion. I give our defense a lot of credit. We're a young team. We only have three starters back. So, I knew we would learn a lot about our guys in this game. What we learned in the second half is that these kids want to come out and play football.

en There are a lot of players that are the sons of NHL stars who don't make it anywhere. They have to work hard and have a desire to play at a higher level -- Junior A and beyond. I'm not sure where this will lead him -- a Division I college. Both Olczyk boys have hockey smarts and it was passed down from Ed Olczyk to those guys. As a coach I cannot teach some guys even though they try and try. Some guys never get it.

en It's never been easy. But I've always wanted to play hockey. I love hockey. I'd rather play hockey than do anything else. If you have that kind of desire, I think you can achieve what you want to achieve.

en It's a matter of getting us to buy into a team concept and making a commitment to defense. I think our team is talented enough that we can score goals, and if we can make more of a commitment to keeping the puck out of our net without discouraging creativity at the other end of the rink, we have the potential to be a real good hockey team.

en Most of the guys here play college hockey and we get it every time from the student sections so it's something that should be expected. I definitely thought it was anti-American, but at the same time a lot of guys in the locker room thrived on that. Almost every Canadian I've met is a great person. That's just hockey. They didn't like the other team.

en Half of the guys were asking, 'What is this about? This is just about a hoop game, right?' I said, 'No, no it's not. You'll find out. It's a lot more than that. I would recommend the NBA show it to all of its young players. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. These Texas Western guys paved the way, and a lot of these guys don't even know it.
