I can't imagine how ordtak

en I can't imagine how tired the guys are because I am worn out. Roger played the best single game of any player that I've ever coached. He put us on his shoulders and wouldn't let us lose.

en Intense is the right word. You don't get days off with him. He's definitely a dictator. If you mess up in a game he's in your face about it. The older guys handle it a lot better. I imagine he's an intimidating guy for a 14-year-old who has never been coached like that. We got a guy who is dedicated to making you a better player. And that's never happened here.

en Adam is a great kid, a remarkable kid. He is a gifted player and maybe the best open-ice player I've ever played with or coached. He has incredible speed that opens up the ice. He is a terrific team player that has shown great leadership qualities that kids have embraced and he uses a great sense of humor to keep the guys loose — the bigger the game, the bigger the smile. Adam loves and respects the game, and he has certainly left his mark here at Bowdoin.

en We just weren't moving our feet; our guys were tired, worn out. That's what great teams do, they close the game out.

en Him and Roger (Federer) have just really dominated this year, ... And so I went in with nothing to lose...It helped me knowing that I had played really close with Roger, played really close with (Andy) Roddick.

en The game kept going down and up, down and then up. But I had some guys who kept coming to the bench saying, 'We are not going to lose, we are not going to lose.' They wouldn't let anyone quit. That's what I'll remember about this game.

en Steve Barnes played the best game he's played since he's been a T-Bird. He was our best player tonight. He's got to play like that every single game.
  Bill Evans

en Every time that happens, it's an opportunity for the next person, ... We prepare hard. We come to the game with 45 guys, and everyone needs to be ready to go. It's tough to lose those guys at the beginning of the game, but the players played competitively and the team played competitively. Unfortunately, it's part of the game.

en Its hard to lose any game and especially one that's so close. The fact that we didn't come away with the win doesn't lessen what these guys did last season at all. They've been a classy, hard-working bunch all year long. They played with a lot of courage and a lot of determination. I couldn't be any more proud of them. I wouldn't feel any better about them even if we'd won that game.

en That was a real battle. Both guys played extremely well. Both teams left it all on the ice. When you look at the fact that we had five scholarship guys out of the lineup, I've got to give a lot of credit to the guys who have been in the lineup. A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. They've been competitive in every single game. They've played their hearst out.

en He's a fiery guy. The way he played is the way he coached, and you love that as a player to know that your coach is on your side and is into the game as much as you are.

en We're not going to win all 82 games straight. Guys get tired, sometimes we lose our focus. We lose games. But right now we're on top of our game, I believe. We need to continue to do that to succeed. We want to win and be able to go into the break right. You feel better.

en We weren't supposed to lose this game, but they're the No. 1 team in the country, they are very well coached and they did a great job. My hat goes off to those guys. They are excellent.

en I think every game we played these guys in the first two series came down to the last pitch. But they've had a rash of injuries. Anytime you lose your closer and some of your best players, it's tough, but they continually battled. We're happy about the fact that we won some games against them. If we didn't, our record wouldn't be as good as it is right now.

en That's the first time I've ever played in a game where we scored 50 points. Who would have guessed it? We're 0-4, struggling, more guys hurt and even lose guys during the course of the game. But I've played long enough to know that if you do things the right way, if you study, prepare and believe, things will go your way.
