en I think they all took it upon themselves to step it up this year and they have. Last year I think there was more pressure on everybody because I think people expected us to do even better than we did. This year the maturity level has come into play as Grade 12s and they're dealing with it very well.

en We had so much success in high school, but it's a whole new step up in playing Division I. Players are as good if not better than you. To adjust to that level of play was pretty tough. Defensively, I think I did it. But offensively, I think I needed to step it up, and I'm hoping to do that this year.

en Now I know how he wants me to play. This is a big year for me. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. I want to step up to the next level.

en Absolutely. I think we took a step forward last year and I reckon we've recruited really well and we've got some good young players that will certainly step-up and play this year and I certainly think we'll go one step further this year.

en When I step on the field I still have to play with a level of pride and we want to walk away No. 1 at the end of the year. That's been one of our goals.

en In the second half last year, we played better, and we should build off that. We have a lot of second-year players. I know for myself that, in your first year, you go out wondering if you really belong, and your second year, you come back knowing you can play at this level. You aren't wondering if you belong. You are looking for ways to step forward as a team.

en We have some strong players. Cory, Carter Mills, Bram Simms all play at a very high level. I see that to be our strength. I don't see them as the guys that can carry the team. We need to find a few others that play all-year round that need to step up.

en I think that helped me to take this step this year. I got to play against some very good goaltenders. I played against Theodore in the playoffs. It was good for my confidence to know I could play at their level.

en We play hard and we hit hard. We get paid to hit people. That's the way it works. But we still haven't scratched the surface. We have to play at that level that Tampa Bay played at year in and year out. And Baltimore. That's the level we want to be.

en I told them and halftime that we were playing down to a different level. We had to rise up and make them play to our level. We came out and played hard, and I challenged the seniors and they were able to step up.

en It's been nothing short of magical for us. But, to be honest, I think we can play with them. We're going to have to step up our level of play, and we're going to have to play awfully, awfully mistake-free basketball.

en We've been waiting all year for someone to step up and grab hold of that fifth spot, and he's obviously doing that and then some. He's finding that level of comfort freshmen usually take time to find. He wants to step up and show he's a player we can count on.

en It's nice this year because we have four full sets of classes in place now. It was a bit challenging last year without seniors. One thing I'd like to see this year is for us to take the next step. Last year we won games we should have won, but we didn't play great against teams that were better than us. This year we need to play better in the big games.

en I absolutely think he can step right in and play. He's got a lot of tools to play at that level. He's a competitor.

en We can't play like (we did), especially when you're losing a guy like Brian who brings so much to the table. You really have to scrap and claw for everything. Everybody had to step up and play a whole different level of energy, and we just didn't have it.
