In the first half ordtak

In the first half I don't think we were being as aggressive. But in the second half, we were more aggressive and got stops on defense, so they couldn't set that up. We got a lot of stuff in transition, and that helped us a lot. It all starts with our defense and our intensity.

I imagine (Wesleyan) got a lot of yards passing. It was a bend- but-don't-break defense. We had a lot of red-zone stops and that was good stuff. I was really proud of our offense in the first half. We just couldn't get it cranked up in the second half and I think that was a real difference.

We played with so much intensity in the first half. But in the second half we just got less aggressive and let them take it. We tried to come back, but we just couldn't hold on to it.

We really stepped up our defense in the second half. We were able to get some transition baskets which triggered our scoring and we maintained our intensity on defense.

We talked at halftime about giving up easy baskets in the first half. I think half their points were on transition off from our misses and turnovers. We got about five or six stops out of seven of their possessions. I think the first four or five minutes of the third quarter we played great defense.

Playing half-court defense doesn't mean you can't be aggressive. We proved that. Every loose ball in the second half we got.

Georgia is a very aggressive team, and we had to be careful not to get out of our rhythm. At halftime I encouraged our guys to have more patience if the transition (opportunity) wasn't there. But our defense really picked up in the second half and created some offense for us.

We made some shots in the second half and that helped us. But we also got more aggressive on defense and that made a difference for us.

Nothing was going in the first half. Valley was aggressive and out-executed us the first half. The kids got back into it and worked the boards and created turnovers. As the tempo picked up, so did our defense.

The first half we really struggled offensively as their zone (defense) was causing us some problems and we kind of stood around. The second half we started to push the ball and become more aggressive.
